COLFASA is an entity certified in the Region of Lombardia in order to supply work instruction and training services and is part of the system of regional professional instruction and training.

COLFASA also has a LMS (Learning Management System) platform for the management of distance training projects.

The consortium organises professional training courses in the following fields:

Permanent training

COLFASA provides lifelong learning, with the goal of ensuring the participants the opportunity of achieving professional qualification and development, in order to allow the adaptability to technological and organisational changes during the entire cycle. The consortium plans the various training cycles, trying to connect professional qualifications to the specific requirements of the companies and the labour market.

Company training

COLFASA supports companies, public entities and non-profit organisations, for the layout of training projects, created in order to update the professional competences of the workers. The beneficiaries are people employed by any contract form, even self-employed persons. The training programs can be developed even by e-learning, in order to provide the participants with the possibility of managing their time in a flexible manner.

Professional specialisation (ex-post diploma)
COLFASA organizes training courses after the accomplishment of a previous training cycle, in order to deepen the specific technical and professional competences. The training beneficiaries are unemployed persons, who have a high school or university graduation diploma. The course structure is based on a system of alternation between classroom training and field experience, in order to observe the three main goals:

• allowing the participants to acquire competences that are immediately spendable on the labour market
• integrating the training cycle with work experience
• favouring employment

At the end of the training cycles, the consortium issues a competence certificate, according to the various qualification levels, complying with the European Qualification Framework (EQF)

Quality certification and accreditation 

COLFASA is an entity certified in the Region of Puglia for the supply of work instruction and training services for apprentices and is part of the professional instruction and training system available in the region. Within the framework of the training cycles, the apprenticeship aims at improving the competences through training inside a company and is intended for young people having at least one level-two professional qualification, with ages between 17 and 29.

All the professional training courses provided by COLFASA are financed by:

• European Social Fund and the Region of Lombardia
• European Social Fund and the Region of Puglia
• Inter-professional funds (FAPI, Fondo Profession, FONARCOM)

The quality of professional instruction and training services supplied by the consortium is guaranteed by a quality management system that is certified by ISO 9000 and by the registration with the Register of accredited entities from the Region of Lombardia and the Region of Puglia.
